The second option is to find a way to edit your sim's clothing in the CAS screen. I believe you can do that by going to your Settings menu at the bottom left corner and then selecting "Create/Edit Household." Then you go to Everyday Wear and change it to whatever you want your sim to be wearing as swimwear.
